Many people know Erie County Blotter for breaking news, public safety alerts, weather updates, and emergency information. What many don’t realize is that behind the scenes, our mission has always been about helping people.
Since Erie County Blotter was founded, we’ve worked to connect our community with resources whenever possible. Whether it’s assisting someone experiencing homelessness, helping connect individuals struggling with addiction to available services, locating emergency assistance, supporting animal rescues, or simply pointing someone in the right direction, we believe that every person deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.
If you or someone you know is facing a difficult situation, please don’t be afraid to reach out. While we are not a government agency, social service organization, or emergency response provider, we will do everything reasonably possible to connect you with the appropriate local resources and organizations that may be able to help.
Please remember that Erie County Blotter is entirely community supported and operates through donations. Because of that, we cannot guarantee that we can fulfill every request for assistance or provide direct financial help. However, we promise that we will always do our best to listen, offer guidance, and connect you with available resources whenever we can.
📩 You can reach us anytime through our Facebook page by sending us a private message.
