Teams of Volunteer Firefighters from WNY to Compete in 8 Exciting Events at Main-Transit Drill Grounds.
On Friday, July 17th, volunteer fire departments from Western and Northern New York will come together at the Main Transit Fire Department’s drill grounds. Teams of New York’s Fastest Firefighters will leave it all on the track as they compete in a series of eight contests that combine man/woman, machine and firematic skill. The action-packed events feature hose stretching, nozzle accuracy, ladder climbs and more – most done in under 30 seconds. (See video links below for examples of the exciting competitions.) The tournament will be held on Friday, July 17th beginning at 6:30 PM with doors opening at 5:00 PM at the Main-Transit Fire Department grounds, 6777 Main Street, Amherst, NY.
There will be trackside grandstand seating, food and beverages, and fun for the whole family. Tickets are $8, children under 10 are free. This event occurs in the Buffalo area once a year, so don’t miss out on the action!
