Two Springville residents are facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges following an investigation by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Intelligence Unit that led to the execution of a search warrant at a village apartment.

Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia reported the arrests of Gabriel Kollatz, 31, of Springville, and Olivia Greaves, 21, of Springville.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies executed a search warrant at approximately 9:02 a.m. on September 22 at an apartment on Park Street. The warrant was signed by Springville Village Court Judge Leslie Gibbin.

Deputies located Kollatz and Greaves inside the apartment.

The Sheriff’s Office alleges that Kollatz resisted arrest and attempted to destroy crack pipes that were on his person. Authorities said he continued to resist deputies as they attempted to place him into a patrol vehicle.

During the search, deputies reported recovering glass pipes containing residue and tablets from the area where Kollatz was taken into custody.

Investigators also searched a safe located inside a bedroom, where the Sheriff’s Office said deputies seized an illegal loaded handgun, suspected cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Additional items were reportedly located inside a bathroom, including a small plastic baggie containing what authorities described as an apparent narcotic substance. Deputies also reported finding a pill bottle containing a crushed powder substance and additional drug paraphernalia inside the apartment.

Charges

Gabriel Kollatz was charged with 3rd degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts); 2nd degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon; Tampering with Evidence; 2nd degree Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia (3 counts); 7th degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance; 2nd degree Obstructing Governmental Administration; and Resisting Arrest.

Olivia Greaves was charged with 3rd degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts); 2nd degree Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia (3 counts); and 7th degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Both were transported to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
