Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of 27-year-old Alyssa Fetes of Kenmore after a traffic investigation on April 27.
At about 12:38 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a complaint about a vehicle traveling south in the northbound lanes of Route 219 in the Town of Concord. A Deputy headed north from Main Street in Springville to intercept the vehicle.
The Deputy activated the overhead emergency lights when they spotted the vehicle, but the operator failed to stop and continued southbound. The Deputy turned around and followed the vehicle. After about two miles, the Deputy maneuvered their patrol Explorer and safely made the vehicle stop.
Fetes failed multiple standard roadside sobriety tests and registered a BAC level more than twice the legal limit.
The defendant is charged with misdemeanor counts of DWI, aggravated DWI – BAC more than .18%, and reckless driving. She is also charged with two New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law violations for driving in the wrong direction and improper entrance to a controlled highway.
Fetes was released to a sober third party.
