Two Charged With Drug-related Charges Following Traffic Stop.

Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia reports the arrest of two individuals after narcotics were discovered in a vehicle.

 

At approximately 9:46 p.m. on August 24th, deputies initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of East Main Street and Vaughn Street in the Village of Springville. The deputies’ investigation determined that the passenger, 29-year-old Ameer Walker of Buffalo, had multiple outstanding warrants out of the City of Lackawanna and was taken into custody. During the deputies’ investigation, Walker initially provided them with false identification.

 

The subsequent search of Walker led to the recovery of multiple bags containing a fentanyl/heroin mix. A search of the vehicle discovered a quantity of ecstasy, five Suboxone strips, and drug paraphernalia.

 

Walker was arrested and charged with felony counts of criminal possession of a narcotic with intent to sell and tampering with physical evidence. He is also charged with class-A misdemeanors for criminal use of drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminal impersonation.

 

25-year-old Olivia Paszkiewicz of Blasdell, the driver, was arrested and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and vehicle and traffic law violations for failing to use the designated lane and drinking alcohol or using cannabis in a motor vehicle on a highway. She was processed and released.

 

Walker was transported to the Erie County Holding Center. While being admitted to the holding center, deputies discovered an additional baggie of fentanyl and a package containing another ecstasy pill. Walker was additionally charged with a felony count of introducing dangerous contraband into a prison.

 

Walker is being held pending his arraignment.
