The Individual Struck And Killed By A Train Has Been Identified.

Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia announces the individual struck and killed by a train in the village of Farnham has been identified.

The victim was identified Monday, November 21, 2022, as Manuel Battaglia, 63, of Derby.

Deputies responded to a report that an individual found human remains and clothing along the train tracks on November 19, 2022.

Sheriff Garcia wishes to thank the public for their assistance with the investigation.

Erie County Sheriff's Office was Assisted by:

• Seneca Nation of Indians Marshal Service as with NYS Police assisted the Sheriff’s Office with the investigation.
