Stolen Vehicle Recovered By ECSO After Traffic Stop.

Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia reports the arrest of an individual following a traffic investigation while deputies were performing premises checks at county-owned parks along Niagara Street in the City of Buffalo.

Deputies encountered a vehicle with different plates than the registration. During the investigation, deputies discovered the vehicle was reported stolen out of the City of Niagara Falls and that 30-year-old Marc Bartholomew of Buffalo has eight active suspensions on his NYS Driver’s License. Deputies also discovered Bartholomew had an arrest warrant out of the Town of Amherst.

Bartholomew was arrested and charged with a felony count of criminal possession of a vehicle, a misdemeanor count of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and a vehicle and traffic violation.

The defendant was taken to the Erie County Holding Center and held pending his arraignment.
