On June 10, 2021 at 9:13 A.M., Troopers out of SP Niagara responded to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Grauer Road in the town of Niagara. Further investigation revealed that 2014 Honda CRV operated by Mary A. Ventry, 80 of Lewiston, NY was traveling east bound on Grauer Road and struck a landscaper, Nicholas R. Hager, 29 of Lockport, NY while he was blowing the grass off the roadway. Hager was taken by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center for serious head trauma.
UPDATE- On June 24, 2021, Nicholas R. Hager, 29 of Lockport, NY while being hospitalized, succumb to his injuries.
NYSP Collision Reconstruction Unit, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Town of Niagara Police Department assisted in this investigation.
