Panama resident charged with multiple crimes during traffic stop.

On August 14th, 2018, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Casey Clark, 38, of Panama, for two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Possessing a Controlled Substance in a non-original Container, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd Degree. Clark was pulled over on Riverside Road in Jamestown for a traffic violation and while speaking to Clark, the Troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search of Clark and his vehicle revealed a smoking device containing marijuana residue and a container with eight methadone pills and 10 lortabs, both controlled substances for which Clark did not have a prescription. A check of Clark’s driver’s license revealed six suspensions, one of which was for an alcohol related offense. Clark was placed under arrest and transported to SP Jamestown where he was processed. Clark was then released with appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the town of Kiantone Court later in the month.
