HEADLINE: Lake Effect Snow Warning issued February 06 at 8:01AM EST until February 06 at 10:00PM EST by NWS Buffalo DESCRIPTION: ...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EST THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow and blowing snow. Additional snow accumulations of 5 to 9 inches in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will produce blowing and drifting snow in open areas.
* WHERE...Erie, Genesee, and Wyoming counties. The greatest additional accumulations will be from the Buffalo Southtowns to Genesee County.
* WHEN...Until 10 PM EST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult with deep snow cover on roads and very poor visibility within the lake effect snow bands. Travel conditions will vary widely across the region. INSTRUCTIONS: Heavy snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling, be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities. Issued By: NWS Buffalo (Western New York)
