It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that due to financial constraints, we are no longer able to sustain the costs associated with running this website. Additionally, the time we can dedicate to its operation has been significantly limited due to my personal health issues and disability. Although I would truly love to see this project continue, I am afraid that there is little hope for its future.
Moreover, since My inception into Incident Photography in 1996, the landscape has changed drastically, with an increasing number of individuals pursuing photography as a hobby or profession. This surge in interest has inadvertently hindered our intended purpose of providing coverage for our fellow brethren, the police officers.
It saddens me to acknowledge that I can easily capture similar images from the sidewalk across the road. While we have consistently demonstrated utmost respect in our approach to documenting scenes, it seems that nobody else in Buffalo maintains a dedicated Police Blotter. Although mine may not be exemplary by any means, it represents my earnest attempt to fulfill a dream I once had. Furthermore, this website has allowed me to forge numerous friendships, making its closure all the more disheartening.
I must express my disappointment with the derogatory term "Boot Licker." As a former firefighter, I firmly believe that police officers are our brothers and sisters in service. Therefore, if supporting the police through this website is labeled as "Bootlicking," then I kindly request you to reconsider your perspective.
Wishing each and every one of you a life filled with blessings and safety. Please continue to follow us on Facebook and Twitter, where we will strive to maintain some level of activity.
Sincerely,
Shawn
I'm sorry that it will be shut down but I understand, take care.
