Hit and Run Collision in Grand Island Results in Charges for Leaving the Scene of an Incident withou

On August 30th, 2017, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested Edward J. Kuebler III, 27, of Tonawanda, New York for Leaving the Scene of a Serious Personal Injury Incident (E Felony). On June 13th, 2017, the 2017 Ram pick-up truck operated by Kuebler was traveling southbound on East River Road on Grand Island when the vehicle struck Dana Papaj who was walking her dog. Kuebler failed to stop after the collision and fled the scene.? Dana Papaj, 53, of Grand Island, New York was seriously injured as a result of the collision and continues to recover at the Erie County Medical Center. Kuebler will be arraigned in the Grand Island Town Court. The collision was investigated by Troop "A" personnel and reconstructed by the New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU).? The Erie County District Attorney’s Office was conferred with throughout the entirety of this investigation.
