Dates: 12/19/2024 to 12/25/2024.


The Erie County Sheriff’s Office responded to 300 calls the week of this report.


12/19: Larceny.

Grand Island Blvd.

Deputies responded and are investigating a report of three shoplifting events over a period of several days. Video evidence collected. Ongoing investigation.


12/19: Road Rage/ Criminal Mischief.

Baseline Rd. @ Grand Island Bd.

Deputies were dispatched to a possible road rage incident. The complainant reported that a driver from another vehicle broke their vehicle side mirror. The offender vehicle fled and could not be located.


12/19: Property Found.

E. Park Rd.

Deputies received a call from a complainant reporting their child’s air pods missing and they are tracking them. Patrol located and retrieved the property and returned it to the complainant.


12/20: Burglary - Residence.

Stony Point Rd.

Deputies are investigating a reported burglary. Initial investigation by patrol. The scene was processed for evidence and the investigation was turned over to Erie County Sheriff’s Office Detectives. Ongoing investigation.


12/20: Fire Investigation.

Morningside Dr.

Deputies responded to a reported fire alarm. Smoke was noticed and entry was made. Fire investigation by Erie County Sheriff’s Office Fire Investigators.


12/21: Disturbance Other.

Grand Island Blvd.

Deputies responded to a report of an irate customer. The employees reported that the suspect waved something around, possibly a gun. Deputies located the suspect and no weapon was found. The employees did not wish charges. All parties advised.


12/21: Fire - Vehicle.

Grand Island Blvd.

Deputies and Grand Island Fire responded to a fully involved vehicle fire. Fire extinguished and vehicle towed.


12/25: Warrant - Served.

Stony Point Rd.

Deputies responded to an unrelated call for service. While investigating it was discovered that one of the subjects had an active warrant out of Niagara Falls. The subject was detained by Deputies and turned over to Niagara Falls for service of the warrant.


Deputies responded to 1 Business Burglary Alarm this week.

Deputies responded to 5 Residential Burglary Alarms this week.

Deputies responded to 0 Mental health calls this week.

Deputies responded to 5 Welfare Checks this week.

Several First Aid calls handled during the week.
