Felony DWI Stop Leads to Arrest by ECSO. Driver had 2 Previous DWI Convictions.



Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Deputies Farina and Dreyer arrested a Boston, New York man on felony DWI charges Saturday morning.

The Deputies observed vehicle and traffic law violations while patrolling Route 219. The Deputies stopped the vehicle on Rice Road just before 2:30 A.M. When speaking with the driver, the Deputies detected the strong odor of alcohol and the operator showed signs of impairment.


Joseph Amadori, 25 of Boston, failed multiple standard field sobriety tests and registered an initial BAC level greater than .08. Amadori was charged with felony counts of DWI- previous conviction, and aggravated unlicensed operation; the subject’s license is revoked. He was also cited for two separate vehicle and traffic law violations and transported to the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment.

Amadori had a DWI conviction in 2013, and a second conviction on May 31, 2018.
