Erie County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Logs for the Town of Clarence from 05/15/21 through 05/21/21.

**The following list is only a sample of all the complaints handled by Deputies**


05/15/21:

Deputies responded to Eastern Hills Mall for an unknown trouble complaint. The female caller was upset because she had been escorted from the mall after creating a disturbance in one of the stores. She was also angry about security recording her being escorted from the mall. She was advised that nothing that security did was against the law. She was also advised that the mall management had banned her from returning.

Two females filled four large shopping bags with clothing at Old Navy and fled the store without paying. The jumped into a dark colored Sport utility vehicle and left prior to arrival of patrol. The caller did not get a plate number. The females were wearing hoodies and baseball caps.

05/16/21:

A customer called from the Home Depot Parking lot about a possible theft. The caller stated that a male and a female were acting weird and then a car pulled up and the male threw some power equipment into the vehicle and it sped off. At the time of this call the store was not aware of the incident. The license plate given by the caller turned out to be voluntarily surrendered from an address in the Bronx.


Deputies responded to a noise complaint at an address on Main Street. The resident was advised that someone had called about loud noises.


Deputies responded to a call on Sheridan Drive. A female caller was whispering on the phone that someone was threatening her and her husband. The alleged threat occurred in Cheektowaga where the couple lives and occurred a couple of weeks prior. She was advised to report the incident to her local police department.


05/17/21:

A male called from a motel on Main Street. He claimed that the manager had been harassing him. He was advised.


A burglar alarm was reported at a residence on Connor Road. It had been set off by the homeowner.


Deputies responded to an alarm on Schurr Road. It had been set off by a contractor who was at the home to do work.


05/18/21:

A resident of Martin Road reported that an unauthorized purchase had occurred on her credit card. The unauthorized purchase was delivered locally. The incident is under investigation.

A resident of Harris Hill Road reports that her husband was the victim of identity theft. She was advised of the steps to take to try to fix the issue.


A manager of a property management company reports that someone had used his company’s information to open an account with National Grid in another state.

A resident of Elm Street reported a fraudulent credit card purchase on her account.


05/19/21:

A male called from an address on County Road. Someone had stolen his utility trailer from his business. The incident is under investigation.


A resident of Arondale Drive reported that the neighbor had painted part of his fence without permission. The two people are disputing the property line and who actually owns the fence. Both people were advised to stop provoking the other.


05/20/21:

A caller reported a suspicious male at a restaurant on Main Street. The male was a worker for a company that cleans the vent hoods and exhausts for deep fryers.


A caller from Corrine Lane was upset about a person that had allegedly spit on while he was riding his bike on Tonawanda Creek Road the day before.


A male in a white van loaded up his vehicle and drove off from a nursery on County Road.


05/21/21:

Deputies responded to a minor property damage accident on Main Street near Harris Hill Road. One vehicle had initially driven off but had returned to the scene. Deputies interviewed both drivers. A fifty -five -year old female appeared to be under the influence of something. That female failed roadside sobriety tests but had a negative roadside indication for alcohol. She also failed an evaluation by the drug recognition expert. She was read her rights and refused to submit to a blood test. After being processed she was released on tickets for driving while impaired by drugs and following too closely.


A group of youths was advised to stop hanging around an abandoned building on Goodrich Road. A neighbor had reported that they were causing a disturbance.
