Cheektowaga Police Holding Presentation to Town Board in Effort to Further Combat Mental Awareness.

From Cheektowaga Police Dept.,

In conjunction with Mental Health Awareness Month, the Cheektowaga Police Department’s Behavioral Health Team will be making a presentation to the Cheektowaga Town Board on May 10th at 5pm at the Town Board’s work session. Officers from the Behavioral Health Team, along with representatives from Endeavor Health Service will present about available resources and statistic related to the behavioral health program.

The Cheektowaga Police Department has had a full time behavioral health clinician assigned to the department since 2019 through an agreement with Endeavor Health Services. This clinician partners with officers to follow up with people who have had interactions with the police and helps link those in need to services within our community.

It is our goal to make more residents aware of the services available through our behavioral health team. To learn more about what Cheektowaga Police might be able to offer you help with go to their website or call (716) 686-3500
