A Sheriff’s Office Tradition Returns To The Broadway Market.

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard announces the Mounted Reserve Unit’s Mounted for Meals donation drive, benefiting Response to Love Center, is back at the Broadway Market.

After canceling last year’s event due to the COVID pandemic, the Mounted Unit and Sister Johnice will be collecting cash donations and food items for those in need.

“The past year, organizations like the Response to Love Center have experienced a significant increase of individuals and families in need of services,” stated Sheriff Howard. “I am glad we could organize this donation drive again to help Sister and our community and do it safely.”

On Thursday, April 1, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., Reserve Deputies will be in front of the Broadway Market collecting canned goods, non-perishable food items, and cash donations for Response to Love Center. Masks, social distancing, and other COVID protocols will be observed.
