{"id":689,"date":"2026-09-10T10:07:49","date_gmt":"2026-09-10T14:07:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eriecoblotter.com\/2026\/09\/10\/jamestown-man-charged-following-harassment-complaint-involving-children\/"},"modified":"2026-09-10T10:07:49","modified_gmt":"2026-09-10T14:07:49","slug":"jamestown-man-charged-following-harassment-complaint-involving-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eriecoblotter.com\/?p=689","title":{"rendered":"Jamestown Man Charged Following Harassment Complaint Involving Children"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">JAMESTOWN, NY | September 10, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A 56-year-old Jamestown man is facing multiple charges following a reported harassment incident Thursday morning at a business on the west side of the City of Jamestown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Jamestown Police Department, First Platoon officers were dispatched at approximately 7:45 a.m. on September 10 for a harassment complaint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police said a female victim reported that an unknown male approached her vehicle and began yelling threats at her while her 11-year-old son was inside the vehicle. The male then allegedly entered the business and began yelling at two female juveniles related to the victim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After reviewing photographs, officers identified the male as 56-year-old Christopher Frederick of Jamestown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Officers later responded to Frederick\u2019s residence. Police said a brief struggle occurred while officers attempted to take him into custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Frederick was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he was being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Charges<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Christopher Frederick was charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Harassment 2nd Degree<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Endangering the Welfare of a Child, 2 Counts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Resisting Arrest<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The case was investigated by the Jamestown Police Department under Incident #26042-26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All defendants are presumed innocent
