🎉❤️ **What an Incredible National Night Out 2026!** ❤️🎉

On behalf of all of us at the **Erie County Blotter**, I simply want to say… **Thank You.**

We were truly honored and humbled to be invited to participate in this year’s **National Night Out** in the **City of Tonawanda**. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms, and we cannot express how much that meant to us. It was an absolute pleasure meeting so many amazing families, first responders, animal lovers, and community organizations who all share one common goal… **making our communities safer, stronger, and more connected.**

A very special thank you goes out to:

❤️ **The City of Tonawanda** for your incredible hospitality.

🐾 **The Pit Chick, Kelli Swaggle**, for everything you do for animals and our community.

🐾 **Rescue Buffalo**

🐾 **Nickel City Canine Rescue**

🐾 **VCA – Sheridan Animal Hospital**

🐾 **Mel’s K-9’s**

🏥 **Erie County Department of Health**

🤝 **WNY Community Outreach**

🐕 **City of Tonawanda Dog Control**

👮 **City of Tonawanda Police Department**

🔍 **Niagara Search and Rescue**

Seeing so many organizations stand shoulder to shoulder, working together for one cause, was truly inspiring. This is exactly what community is all about. When we come together, we can accomplish amazing things for both people and animals alike.

For me personally, it was also a blessing to introduce the **Erie County Blotter** to even more of our neighbors north of Buffalo. Every new connection helps us continue our mission of supporting public safety, first responders, animal rescue, and those in need throughout Western New York.

This is only the beginning.

We are excited to announce that we will be working on several new partnerships with many of these outstanding rescue organizations in the very near future. Together, we’ll continue expanding our outreach, supporting animals in need, and strengthening the communities we all proudly serve.

To everyone who stopped by our table, shared a smile, donated, asked questions, or simply took the time to say hello… **thank you.** Your kindness and encouragement mean more than you’ll ever know.

Here’s to many more opportunities to work together and continue making a difference across Western New York.

With sincere gratitude,

💚 Shawn McMahon
